Stichting Steun Emma Kinderziekenhuis

A few weeks ago, the Emma Children's Hospital reached out to the YUM board. They were urgently seeking for help. They told us about children with selective mutism, a very severe anxiety disorder. Due to Corona the hospital was unable to provide the right treatment to these vulnerable children. The doctor normally visited the children at their very own primary schools; however, due corona this was no longer possible. The doctors noticed the impact no treatment had on these kids and decided they had to find a solution. So, the Emma Children's Hospital came up with an idea: a revolutionary VR method that would make it possible to provide all children throughout the Netherlands the right treatment!

Sounds like great news, right?! However, funding is needed for this treatment and as part of our purpose driven initiatives YUM would like to make this happen and that’s why we need YOUR help!

I will participate in the Charity Walk on October 29th to increase awareness for this initiative.
